Hoot Toots CC are an offshoot of Bugle CC who have toured overseas to The Scilly Isles 29 times since the 1980s. I have been on two tours with them with 14 years in between each which represents a reasonable recovery period between such tours. They have an excellent website documenting all tours.

I can lay claim to suggesting their name as it was a derogatory term used at Redruth CC for a rough and ready set of individuals bearing a pasing resemblance to an organised cricket team.
As with some of the touring and occasional XIs I’ve represented over the years my involvement in Hoot Toots came through colleagues at school or drinking establishments. In this case Self Appointed Hoot Toots Director of Cricket Peter Child from both categories and the late Jim Street from the latter and fellow member and branch chairman of Cornwall CAMRA.
